Introduction:

We would like to introduce ourselves, “My County Magazine” is a FREE monthly Magazine serving 7 Counties; Clay, Monroe, Montgomery, Morgan, Owen, Parke and Putnam. Our slogan is we do not print News, Religion or Politics you can find that nonsense in any other publication. We strive to put smiles on your face with a warm feeling in your heart as you read.  We are always striving to increase our readership by offering something for all age groups from the young to young at heart.  There is something eye catching for all to read.

There is a rationale to why we live in rural communities and everyone’s reasoning is a little different, the quiet, raising children and so-on.   Summertime is just around the corner and fun is to be had by all young & old but with gas prices, taxes and everything else sky rocketing, back yard vacations are becoming very popular.  Our magazine highlights area’s of interest, businesses, and the people who make our communities special. Our advertising venue is a cost effective marketing opportunity for your business.  We also work with co-op advertising so check with your suppliers.

We started the magazine over two years ago, while first starting out with high glossy full color cover 8 ½ by 11, very nice and eye catching.  The fact is that reality hit us; high production cost had us rethinking our format.  Last year we changed to tabloid style, this tripled our content and greatly reduced our overhead, so we could pass the savings on to our advertisers.  Our dedicated advertising associates help to create your specialty advertisement that attracts customers to your establishment to conduct business with you, instead of traveling miles away for their service. Every one wants the opportunity to actually being treated as an individual instead of a commodity!  Our readers support local businesses if they know about you, let’s show them what you have to offer.  We distribute the magazines to our advertisers and in high traffic areas through out our 7 counties region to get the word out about your services.  No matter how large your community is you should be able to find our magazines sitting on tables, counters even in restrooms.  One of the founders of our publication quote that he was proud to say, “We are in more bathrooms in seven counties than any other publication around, a product to study, keep-sake.” You can take that for what it is worth!
