Talk about being around forever, Steve Mason is the 9th generation born and raised in Putnam County and he has his children and grandchildren here also. Wow, looks like we will be seeing the Mason’s around for a while longer. Mason Jewelry was started in 1957 by Steve’s father.  This is their 50th year.  Mr. Mason is now the father of three (a son, Joshua and two daughters, Angie & Becky), and grandfather of 6.

You all will, no doubt, remember the story about Little Red Riding Hood and the Fox? Actually, it was a wolf, and if you don’t remember….. just pretend you do…..because there is just not room in this column for two stories. Besides….we all know Little Red Riding Hood is a fairy tale and I have sworn to tell you the truth and only the truth…..(ok, so sometimes I fudge, just a little).

You have to love Phyllis. I think a clean house is wonderful and it creates a huge guilt trip if everything isn’t perfect, but Phyllis has a point. Sometimes it isn’t worth the chance. Maybe it really could kill you.
